Do I need to switch POS systems to use Inventario?

No. Inventario connects to your existing POS — Toast, Square, Clover, or Lightspeed. If you use something else, write to us: we'll tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Do my suppliers need to be compatible with Inventario?

No. No restaurant supplier has a public EDI, so Inventario never tries to send them orders automatically. You get an order document to adjust and send yourself, regardless of the supplier.

Does Inventario order automatically from my suppliers?

Never. Every order document stays in your hands — Inventario calculates a starting point, you decide what to send and when.

Who sees my data?

Only you and the team members you invite, with the permissions you set per role. Your numbers aren't shared with anyone else.

How long does it take to set up Inventario?

Connecting your POS and importing your menu takes a few minutes. Cataloging your ingredients and their units takes longer — it depends on the size of your pantry — but nothing stops you from tracking stock while the catalog fills in.

Can I manage multiple restaurants with one account?

Yes. One account can manage several locations, with quick switching between them and stock tracked separately for each.

What happens if I don't have an internet connection?

Inventario is a cloud application — an internet connection is required to use it.

Is prep yield mandatory?

No, it's optional and off by default (100% yield). You turn it on per ingredient only where it matters — an onion doesn't always have the same usable weight, a cut of meat loses some to trim.
